RACING

September 13th-14th

What is X-Duro:
A cross country race made up of two stages. The cross country stage covers the whole course, riding uphill from town to the top of the mountain and riding the downhill back into town. The downhill stage starts as soon as you cross the start line at the top and finishes at the bottom of the downhill back in town.

Race Details:

The Mills Peak X-Duro will feature an all-mountain cross country race with a timed downhill segment within the cross country race. Starting in the Town of Graeagle, the cross country course will start the 11 mile climb heading up Gold Lakes Highway to Frazier Creek Road. After climbing for 7.5 miles and 2,100 feet, racers will reach the first aid station at the top of Frazier Creek Road. The course will continue to climb up another 3.3 miles on a combination of fire road and single track to the top of Mills Peak where the last aid station will be.

Once at the top of Mills Peak the route will start to point downhill back down the mountain. This is also where the start of the downhill timing section will begin. Your time on the downhill does not begin until you reach the timing point at the top of the mountain and will end at the finish line of the cross country race. The downhill can be described as "chunky flow". Dropping 8.6 miles and 3000 feet down the mountain, the Mills Peak downhill snakes its way through the trees on purpose built single track. Riding over rocks and boulders but still remaining a certain flow to the trail. With just a few risers, the Mills Peak Singletrack Downhill will drop all the way back down the mountain to the finish line back in Graeagle.
